Senior Lighting designer

Sr. Lighting Designer is needed to perform the following duties: 

Design leadership:

• Spearhead the creation of lighting concepts and plans

  • As a senior lighting designer, the primary responsibility is to lead the design process.

  • Oversee the creation of lighting concepts, develop lighting plans, select fixtures, and ensure that the final design meets the client's needs and aesthetic preferences.

  • Have extensive experience and technical knowledge to create innovative and effective lighting solutions for various projects.

• Client Interaction and Business Development

  • Engages with clients to understand needs and present proposals.

  • Play a crucial role in interacting with clients, understanding their requirements, and presenting design proposals.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships are essential for securing new projects and fostering repeat business.

  • Actively participate in business development efforts, such as networking events, conferences, and marketing initiatives, to expand the firm's clientele.

• Project management

  • In addition to design responsibilities, oversee project management aspects. This includes creating project timelines, coordinating with other design disciplines (such as architects and interior designers), managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

  • Effective project management skills are crucial for the successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

• Senior lighting designers may lead a team of designers and technicians, providing guidance, direction, and mentorship. They are responsible for delegating tasks, reviewing work, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. By sharing their knowledge and expertise, they help develop the skills of junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the team.

Quality assurance:

• Ensure designs meet safety standards, building codes, and client expectations.

  • Ensure the quality and compliance of lighting designs is paramount. Senior lighting designers are responsible for adhering to industry standards, building codes, and regulations relevant to their projects.

  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure that designs meet safety requirements, energy efficiency standards, and client expectations.

  • Focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs.

Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design/Lighting Design/Interior Lighting Design.
